2020 Chemical science Exam Pattern: -
The Exam
is divided into three parts:
Part A,
B, and C.
1. The exam was in MCQ format.
2. Part A
contains 20 questions out of which 15 need to be attempted. Each question is of
2 marks and there will be a negative marking of ½ on every wrong answer. Part A
is common for all subjects.
3. Part B
contains 40 questions total of 70 marks out of which 35 questions need to be
attempted. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 on every wrong answer.
4. Part C
contains 60 questions total of 100 marks out of which 25 questions need to be
attempted. There will be a negative marking of 1 on every wrong answer. Part C
is highly subject relatable in nature.
CSIR NET
Chemical science eligibility Criteria: -
1. For
General/OBC Category Candidates — 55% Aggregate Marks in Masters’ Degree
2. For
SC/ST/PwD Category Candidates — 50% Aggregate Marks
3.
Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
4.
Aspirants who are in the qualifying year of post-graduation can also apply for
the exam.
5. For
JRF — The candidate’s age must not more than 28 Years. (And 31 years in OBC)
6. 5
year’s age relaxation will be provided to SC, ST, PwD, OBC and Female
applicants for JRF.
7. For
Assistant Professor — There is no upper age limit.
